In-person student services extended into October
Seattle Central College will be offering in-person help with admissions, registration, and financial aid this Thursday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Information technology support staff will be available 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Please pick up your items from the MAC
This is a reminder that we still have approximately 100 bags of locker room items that need to be returned to their owners. If you had a locker during the time the MAC shut down in March, and you did not clean it out before then, please come pick up your items as soon as possible.

South Plaza encampment update
After two weeks of working with homeless support services, speaking with organizers, and hearing from employees and neighbors, the college received assistance from the city of Seattle this morning to clear the illegal encampment at the South Plaza without incident.
Message from our president
After the city cleared the six-block area near the East Precinct on July 1, known as the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) zone, some of the people who had camped in and around Cal Anderson Park moved their encampments to the green spaces of Seattle Central’s South Plaza.
Follow up on ICE announcement: Good News!
We are very pleased to see media reports that ICE and the Trump Administration have rescinded the new guidance, meaning that they have canceled their new requirements for international students enrolling in Fall Quarter. This is good news!
Reconnect West Seattle public input
The city has just now launched the public-input phase of Reconnect West Seattle to help SDOT prioritize the right traffic and mobility improvements to help people and goods move to, from and through West Seattle and the affected nearby neighborhoods in the Duwamish Valley.
