Speaking Dreams Into Existence MLK Event
For Black history month last year, a diorama was created of the March on Washington which was a massive collaboration of multiple Civil Rights organization’s protest march that occurred in August 1963 when some 250,000 people gathered in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. for the right to work/obtain a job and freedom. The event aimed to draw attention to continuing challenges and inequalities faced by African Americans and people of color a century after emancipation.

Community Empowerment Space for Trans and Gender Non-Conforming Folk
November 20th-December 20th Student Leadership is opening a community digital wall space for Trans, GNC (Gender Non-Conforming), and all those in between to make a mural of quotes/stories. All entries must come from Seattle Central students/staff/employees so an email will be taken down but otherwise it will be as anonymous as possible.
